English Departmental Seminar on “The Development of ‘One –Act Plays’

On 24th March 2018 Department of English, Don Bosco College, hosted Departmental Seminar under the Topic –The Development of ‘One –Act Plays’ With Analysis of the three one act plays “The Zoo Story” by Edward Albee, “Salomi” by Oscar Wilde and “The Bishop’s Candlesticks” by Norman Mckinnel. . The Seminar started with the welcome speech by our respected Principal Fr. (Dr) Jose Karamullil SDB.

Dr. Bhagabat Nayak –Professor, Department of English, Rajiv Gandhi University was the Resource Person for the Seminar. In His speech, he emphasised on the importance of One-Act Play in the English Literature and said how the subject is neglected and left out from the main Curriculum, which needs to be bought under academic study and Research.

73 Students and Faculty members of the Department of English participated in the seminar and 30 students presented  their papers.
